2017 Class Gift Rallies, Closes Strong

At the close of this academic year, members of the Class of 2017 came together to make their mark by aiding those who will follow in their footsteps.

More than 40 graduates raised almost $400 in support of future CEU students via the Graduating Class Gift 2017 campaign.

The two-week campaign enabled grads to make their first, symbolic donation in support of CEU’s future, both as a means of giving back and ‘paying it forward’ to next year’s class.

Welcome to the family: CEU alumni team welcomes new grads

Last week CEU added more than 700 new alumni to its global family. Your alumni team – with help from alumni like you – was there to welcome them.

As part of a busy graduation week, on Wednesday June 21 and Thursday June 22, the alumni team hosted its first-ever Alumni Info table, in Nador 15.

There, graduating students, many clad in commencement gowns, were given information on benefits and services awaiting them, and how to connect with the wider community after they leave campus this summer.

CEU alumnus Uchenna Emelonye (LEGS ’04) has had a distinguished career with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, where he currently serves as the Country Representative for Uganda. He’s also represented CEU well, earning the Alumni Impact Award last year and taking the dais as Alumni Speaker during this year’s graduation ceremony, on June 23.
