CEU Alumni Happy Hour in Washington D.C.

An exciting group of CEU movers and shakers made this year’s Alumni Happy Hour in Washington D.C. a night to remember.

Nearly 30 alumni and friends from the D.C. area and abroad come together for the fun, informal mixer on Wednesday, March 14 at the Mission Restaurant and bar in the U.S. capital’s DuPont Circle district. The event was hosted by Serge Sych (IRES '97, LEGS '99), CEU's Vice President for Enrollment, Careers and Alumni Relations, visiting from Budapest. 

Alumnus Leps Elected Party Chairman

CEU alumnus Jakub Leps (POLS ’98) was recently elected Prague chairman for the TOP 09 political party. Elected for the two year term in January, his tasks will focus on managing the party and campaigning ahead of this fall’s local and senate elections.

Jakub also serves as Third Deputy Mayor of Prague’s 11th District, a role which he says he will continue.

Alumni Campaign 2017 Closes Strong

CEU’s 2017 Alumni Campaign closed on a high note last December, raising a total of $144,666 (including $70,000 during its year-end matching gift drive). The former is the highest amount raised by an alumni-sponsored drive in CEU history. Thank you, donors!

CEU Alumna Sugár Passes

We are saddened to report that CEU alumna Krisztina Sugár (IMCE MB ‘98; IRES ’95), recently passed away. She was 46 years old. Our deepest condolences to Krisztina’s family and friends.
