Trustee Blum promotes 'partnership' as Alumni Campaign nears deadline

The CEU Alumni Campaign has less than five weeks to finish raising $500,000. Thanks to the response of alumni around the world we're closer than ever to reaching our goal - but we're not there yet.

The campaign received a great boost earlier this year from CEU Board of Trustees member Richard Blum, who pledged a dollar-for-dollar match for alumni contributions up to $50,000. 

'Philanthropy Day' a big hit

All we can say is “wow”!

On Friday, Nov. 15 the CEU community in Budapest came together for the university’s first-ever Philanthropy Day. Intended to bolster awareness of the value of philanthropic giving, this historic student-led initiative involved raising funds for the CEU Alumni Campaign and a local nonprofit, Hope for Children.

What an event! Thanks to outstanding CEU alumni and friends like you, we had a great turnout for the CEU Alumni Reunion in New York City on Tuesday, Nov. 12. More than 70 folks showed up to reconnect and hear from CEU President and Rector John Shattuck, and Board of Trustees member Kati Marton. It was a great evening and we can't wait to do it again. 

Great turnout for Washington D.C. alumni happy hour

OK, that was a blast! Thanks to great CEU alumni and friends like you, we had a nice turnout for the CEU Alumni Reunion and Happy Hour in Washington D.C. on Nov. 13. Nearly 50 people showed up to reconnect with old friends and to support and get all the latest from their alma mater.

Thanks to fantastic CEU alumni and friends like you, we had another great turnout for "Simply Networking" on Wednesday, Nov. 13. More than 70 people showed up for drinks and conversation with friends, live jazz and a stimulating discussion on nonprofits and the state of civil society. It was a great evening, thanks to you!
