CEU Alumnus Popescu Named Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister

CEU alumnus Nicu Popescu (IR MA '03, PhD '09) was named Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in August 2021, as part of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita’s government. Details. This marks his second appointment as Foreign Minister; he was appointed in 2019 by a previous government.
