Alumni, Rector Meet at NYC Reception

Nearly 60 CEU alumni and friends met with President and Rector Michael Ignatieff at a special reunion at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs in New York City last month, the largest of its kind in two years. See photos.

The March 28 event featured an in-depth discussion between the rector and guests regarding the university’s recent challenges and its newly-unveiled Vienna campus, opening this September.

Alumna Appointed to Commerce Board

Brianna Florovito, who studied at the CEU Department of Philosophy (2014-15), was recently appotined to the position of workforce and entrepreneurial development specialis by the by the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce in Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA. See story.

Alumna Philipp Passes

We are deeply saddened to report the passing of alumna Marie Philipp (NATI ’16), who was aboard Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, which crashed Sunday, March 10. She was 28 years old.

Found on five continents, alumni chapters are a great way to stay connected with your classmates, friends and the CEU community. Chapters leaders (CLs) play a crucial role in engaging their local fellow alumni through social meet-ups, fundraisers, recruitment activities, networking events and more.

Record Participation Levels for Campaign 2018

The CEU Alumni Campaign closed 2018 with record high participation levels! A huge THANK YOU to all donors! 

More than 700 alumni contributed to the campaign in 2018, nearly doubling the previous year’s number of donors. Last year also saw the highest-yet number of first-time donors, 325 in all - some 200 more than the previous year.
