Strong Finish To Matching Gift Campaign

What a bunch of overachievers!

That’s one way to describe CEU’s amazing alumni donors, who just raised more than $60,000 in support of their University via the Blum Matching Gift Challenge.  Launched last autumn, the campaign’s original goal was $50,000. (See? Overachievers.)

Alumni made more than 140 individual contributions to the campaign, which closed last week, raising a total of $60,148.

CEU Alumna Voytenko Wins SEK 3 Million Research Grant

CEU alumna Yuliya Voytenko (ENVS PhD '07) was recently granted 3 million Swedish Kronor (SEK) from The Swedish Research Council Formas for three-year research project, entitled 'Sharing and the City (20016-18).'

Alumni, Students Raise Thousands in Support of CEU

CEU's mission of promoting safe and open societies is more crucial than ever. And alumni and students around the world have stepped up to support that mission.

Last week, alumni came together to raise nearly $7,000 in support of CEU in the first seven days of the Blum Matching Gift Challenge.

The challenge, which doubles alumni gifts thanks to a recent major contribution, has sparked a competition to determine which alumni, based on school or departmental affiliation, are the most active supporters of CEU.

London Reunion Draws Record Number of Alumni

More than 65 CEU alumni and friends met at London's Hungarian Cultural Centre, on Tuesday, November 10, for a special reunion with President and Rector John Shattuck and distinguished guests. (See photos.)

The evening included remarks by President Shattuck, Hungarian Ambassador Peter Szabadhegy, and former Ambassador and CEU alumna Borbala Czako (IMCE '90), plus a lively Q&A and reception.

Major Gift Sparks Alumni Competition
